THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS!

No, not a countdown for the days it takes to get rid of a Mardi Gras hangover.

This Saturday, February 20, Glasgow will be releasing our 1986 EP in an internet-only format through Band Camp (It's a site where you can post your music for download. It can look like this one belonging to fellow New Orleans synth/math/metal/excellentness Big Rock Candy Mountain).

The 5-song EP will be made up of selections from our upcoming indie-rock opera 1986. The plot spans from January 1st to December 31st of this watershed year for Cold War politics. The songs all deal with events of the year (Chernobyl, the Challenger disaster, the Iran-Contra Affair, etc), each of whose significance is used allegorically and paired with events in the fictional A-plot.

More of the story of 1986 will be revealed as the countdown soldiers on. Can't wait to spill the beans.
Until tomorrow, goodnight and Happy Mardi Gras!
-S
